I recently finished a complete bathroom remodel. Gasp! It wasn’t the kind of remodel where I paid someone else to do it. I did it myself. However, like the Wells Fargo radio commercials “I re-did my bathroom, but I was never alone.” It provided a lot of opportunities for self-reflection as I cut tile after tile… so why shouldn’t you be the one to benefit from my pain!?  Here’s the first lesson I learned.

Did You Just Double Dip That Chip?

Unwritten rules play a role in all our lives, but have never been played out more notably than in Seinfeld’s “The Chip Dip” episode, when George Costanza double dips his chip at a wake and gets into a physical altercation for violating an unwritten rule.  It’s funny and over the top, as most of George’s life moments are, and highlights a fundamental truth - unwritten rules exist.  The question is, should they always be followed?  George didn’t think so.
