Part-Time Office Experience Manager

We need to add a part-time Office Experience Manager that embodies those values!


Why this position is important:

Our work is dynamic, highly customized, and fast-paced. Our consulting team is often managing several projects at one time. It can be a circus! This role is vital to making sure the experience for both our team and our clients is more like a Cirque du Soleil experience and not a “the-Elephants-escaped-and-are-roaming-the-midway!” experience. It’s a mix of playing spotter so that trapeze artists are safe, being the concierge that brings a little magic from the ticket booth to the final curtain, and an operations chief who is making sure the peanuts get ordered to keep those rambunctious elephants happy.

Some places might call this role an Office Manager. But we don’t want someone who just manages­—we want someone who sees the experience!


How this role will support our values:

Responsive:

  • Supporting a smooth running-office by recognizing and responding to operational and administrative needs.

  • Scheduling, coordinating and communicating with our clients, partners, and team. This could be via phone, text,
    e-mail, or by talking face-to-face over coffee in our kitchen. Our calendars are in constant flux and our consultants are rarely at a desk, so we need an Office Manager to ensure clients aren’t waiting on our team to respond.

  • Managing our newsletter, blog, and social media. You’ll help us connect with past, current, and future clients.

  • Providing support as needed to our consultants and designer. This could mean managing the logistics of a client or internal event, or reviewing and editing documents.

  • Stepping up to other duties that emerge. And they are constantly emerging.

Results-Oriented:

  • Keeping the office afloat. This means you will be the point person for maintenance, supplies, getting groceries, beer, and whatever else is needed. Sometimes you might have to plan a team happy hour or get maintenance to fix a leaky pipe.

  • Managing and organizing internal team meetings and the schedule of our Principal Consultant, J. Forrest.

  • Managing the process for invoicing and expenses.

Fun:

  • Bringing a sense of fun to the office for everyone who walks through the door. We want the successful candidate to be our Office Ambassador. Consider the office and people who walk through the door to be your primary clients.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of related experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Perform advanced data analytics

  • Provide social media & marketing expertise

  • Quote movies, especially those that star Chevy Chase


This is a part-time 90-day contract position, with the potential for full-time employment at the end of 90 days.
